Editorial Policy and Responsibilities

The journal expects all parties involved, authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher, to comply with ethical standards throughout the publication process. Editors and reviewers evaluate manuscripts solely on the basis of their scientific merit, originality, relevance, and contribution to knowledge, free from any bias.

Peer Review Process

Man & Development follows a double-blind peer review system. Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two expert referees in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and shall maintain confidentiality, provide objective assessment, and declare any conflicts of interest. The journal does not accept reviewer suggestions from authors.

Authorship

Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study. All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work. The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal and for ensuring that all co-authors have approved the submission.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, personal, or institutional conflicts of interest that could influence their research. The journal works to prevent and manage conflicts of interest at every stage of the publication process.

Plagiarism and Research Integrity

The journal maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, duplicate publication, and data fabrication. All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. Any manuscript found to contain plagiarised material, fabricated data, or unethical research practices will be rejected. Serious violations may result in notification to the authors’ institutions and a ban on future submissions.

Responsibilities of Authors

• Authors must ensure their work is original and has not been published elsewhere.
• Proper citation and acknowledgment of all sources are mandatory.
• Authors must follow ethical norms in research involving human or animal subjects, where applicable.
• Manuscripts must not be submitted to more than one journal simultaneously.

Responsibilities of Reviewers and Editors

Reviewers and editors are expected to maintain confidentiality, declare conflicts of interest, and conduct reviews with objectivity, fairness, and timeliness.

Publisher's Role

The publisher is committed to supporting the journal’s editorial independence, protecting copyright, and taking appropriate action in cases of proven scientific misconduct.
